Today I thought of a bit relaxation when I thought to get my padicure done. I needed a massage badly for my legs :) ! I decided to go to Niles…here we have Vietnamese in business who do a good job with nails, hair you name it with beauty!

I had a good time while they were serving and I see suddently one of the lady comes to me and asks ‘Are you from India’? … with hesitation…she goes on .. ‘I mean you come from …” and I say well yes I am Indian by origin why?

“People need loving the most when they deserve it the least” ~ John Harrigan

She immediately jumps at me saying ‘did you hear what happened in santa Clara?’.
About the Indian guy who killed his family and in-laws with his gun?’ … and after hearing that I say …’yeah I heard my friend saying about it’. It’s sad!

Yes, a sad thing happened the other day, where a guy who happened to be a Indian who killed his family and in-laws and himself with his gun and seems the wife has survived.

What was crazy was that when ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ got 8 Oscars no one asked me ‘if I am Indian origin and the movie has got Oscar award!…but it only happens when something like this miserable happens that people ask first thing ‘ what is the origin of the guy’?

It is like any drug related or smugglings they will first think of any African or Mexican origin.
What I don’t understand is why can’t people for one sake think it could be anyone.

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the the universe.” ~ Albert Einstein

When the salon lady went on with discussion on the Indian guy who did this killing…I said, I am not sure what is the reason as I know it wasn’t that he was laid-off from his job or so like the Chinese guy in Hayward did when he lost everything in stocks and got into debt.

It seemed the lady got the message…she slowly moved to the other end of the shop and while I was leaving she kind of justifying that ‘they didn’t disclose about the origin yesterday but they did said on the internet’.

I had nothing to say to this lady except that ‘ whatever happened is sad! and it shouldn’t have happened this way’.

People should stop differentiating things like this…as this could be from any origin and any country. We need to protect people and if we know about someone who needs treatment then we should help in doing so.

“You may fool all the people some of the time, you can even fool some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all the time.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

Happy Fool’s Day ;)

Remembered a dialogue from a movie. Someone asks the hero, “Are you an American?”. He looks curiously at the person and delivers a punchline, “Does that make me Guilty?”

I think you should have put the same question to that lady.

I don’t understand why some people think in this way. We are All the same people in the whole world. Good and bad things happen in every country.
Good point, dear. I like this tittle, so true.

    My best wishes to you!

    Very good post Dawn.

yes MOST ppl only focus on the IRRELEVANT things, unfortunately. I guess that’s cos MOST ppl in this world r IDIOTS…they cant THINK outside the box.

**What was crazy was that when ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ got 8 Oscars no one asked me ‘if I am Indian origin and the movie has got Oscar award!…but it only happens when something like this miserable happens that people ask first thing ‘ what is the origin of the guy’?

It’s a very common thing…cos like I said before, MOST ppl in this world fall into the COMMON (brainless) category.

Just ignore them or tell them to get a cranium-refill.

    Keshi.

Do these situations only happen with an Indian, isn’t there incidents where collage students shoot blindly the innocents. It depends on mood and any origin could act upon like. It was a shocking incident and I hope the women survives to know the picture.

Human beings are innately irrational beings i’d say… instead of hunting for the causes of crime and helping the victims they focus on the WHO-TO-BLAME aspect. Sad enuf!
