I am coming after a gap and I am sure my friends would know why the gap was there J
Well, today I am going to write about ‘Hate’! Yes, I have known this person since my childhood – who is a very sober, naïve and innocent person that I have ever met in my life.
Recently I had an opportunity where I could connect back with most of my childhood friends and he is one of them. He asked me what I think of the word ‘Hate’ and I thought it could be good if I share it here with my friends as well J
HATE: I have defined it as Horrible Attitude Towards Everything.
When I say ‘Everything’ it is to convey that as much good is appreciated, we must also appreciate hate and that again depends on what you hate!
There are things that we hate to discuss, things that we hate about (anyone’s) habit, also hate negative thoughts, negative energy.
Hate is something that depends how we make use of it. It is just like a knife which you use to cut things in your kitchen at the same time there are terrible things that one can do with knife which is quite hateful I would think so!
“We have just enough religion to make us hate, but not enough to make us love one another.” ~ Jonathan Swift

One thing I believe is never hate a person and this I will say I learnt it in school – where MK Gandhi’s famous quote made me think about and that is ‘Hate the sin and not the sinner’.
More over a great poet Saint Kabir Das (1398 A.D – 1448 A.D), used to say in his two liner poetry that one should always keep his / her enemy around as they keep reminding of your weaknesses which you can always improve uponJ! I always found that is like a constructive criticism which helps one grow in life.
At the end I would love to add this quote here by none other than MK Gandhi, which I recently read through my manager’s mail. He has some interesting quotes in his mail and they all are by MKG J !
“I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.” ~ MK Gandhi
I loved this quote very much. It literally made me think as what MK Gandhi said and look around us what is happening…isn’t that all creating permanent damages and hence the story continues..?
Something to think deeply about – Hate your weaknesses but don’t hate your neighbors.
