I have been thinking to write a post on this radio FM channel but as you can see after work I was busy with other stuff and this always got into pending list :)

That doesn’t mean that I broken the trend :) . I saw Slumdog Millionaire – and I have to say few things about it before I move to this radio station ;) . This movie is based on Vikas Swarup’s book Q & A.

Slumdog Millionaire – as many people think that India is all about slums then it is not. I know even the Big B : Amitabh Bacchan also had his comments for this movie and it was in similar lines though he later changed his version.

“Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story” ~ Max Ehrman

 untitled1

When I saw this movie, I felt this is a story taken from the slums. I let me tell you whatever they showed in the movie is fact – such things do happen, not that I have witnessed any but yes as I was growing up I have heard many such stories.

This movie brought my childhood memories. Being in NDA (National Defense Academy), going to city Pune was like a long trip. I used to love those days going in the bus, with all dressed up and I used to be scarred when I am crossing the roads and my dad used to hold my hand – helping me to cross the road. Those days I used to think that I be never able to cross the road without my dad’s help … and look today I cross all across the globe but yes it’s his teaching that has helped me to do so :)

Yes, it was those times when I used to see kids begging on the streets and they either have their one of the limbs broken or eyes gone – the reaction of mine used to be oh my lord why they have to have such a life and my dad used to tell me they were also like you but its some of the gundas who break their legs and takes their eyes off and make them do this job and in the evening they will collect all this money from them.

“Miracles are a retelling in small letters of the very same story which is written across the whole world in letters too large for some of us to see.” ~ C.S. Lewis

I used to feel very sad when I used to hear that….and when I saw this movie it really took me back there…! But this movie also talks about thinking outside of the box. Take that daring step and the dream that anyone can have and to fulfill them.

One must watch this movie as I hear this is getting at least 10 Oscar nominations… so friends enjoy this one.

Now, let me do justice to Star 101.3 FM radio station. I have been bored of listening to the same songs from the cd’s and it was time when I want to listen to good songs yet, it should surprise me and make me dance on the numbers that will play next. I was searching music station on FM radio in my car and I accidentally hit on this one…!

Guess what the host of this show sounded friendly and familiar voice at first…and it made me think all day! But let me tell you my ride to work and back to home is just in the temptation of this station. Then I realized the host is none other than Ryan Seacrest who hosts the American Idol show as well. WOW!!! This was a surprise for me.

“It’s not true I had nothing on, I had the radio on.” ~ Marilyn Monroe ;)

I couldn’t believe it but then his voice tells everything. I have to tell you this radio show is awesome as in the morning they call people and make them fooled – something they call it as ‘you have been blue blurred in the morning’. It is funny believe me and yes, since Ryan Seacrest is so famous and has many contacts in Hollywood that you get to listen to there interviews and views. Over all it is an interesting radio program and I love it.

Slumdog millionaire was a fabulous story. It was of believing in one’s dreams. With Rehman’s fascinating music, I didn’t find anything it worth enough of complaining.

Well! I luv Radio and luckily my Best friend is an RJ in a local FM radio and we have lots of exchange of creative ideas. And, I liked the quote of Marilyn Monroe :)
