“Prosperity is necessarily the first theme of a political campaign.”

When Paa was released and the hype about how Big B has been transformed to a kid – all this brought the curiosity at the same time I thought if it is some Hollywood copy movie :)

Then some reviews from friends came up saying at the end it is sad. All this made me not so tempting and I went ahead to watch 3 idiots.

Yesterday when I saw Paa in DVD, I thought let’s give a try. To my surprise the movie is not all about the disease Progeria in fact the political life of Abhishek Bacchan has brought nice flavor to it.

I loved the movie, though in the beginning itself the expectation is set for the audience that Auro (the Child as Big B), has a short life-span.

I loved the movie, Abhishek has matured through the years and didn’t feel much for Vidya Balan – I am sure it will upset some of my friends ;)

I felt it’s very much today’s movie where a politician is not worried about his fake image in fact he is true to the people whether he is trying to remove the slums from the government property or whether it’s his personal life where he has a son through his college girlfriend. Abhishek is open and I think today we need that openness and make people aware that everyone is human and everyone has a personal life too.

Specific things that caught me in this movie were the ‘vision of India through children’s eyes’. Whatever it was, it was a cool thought…they had shown the map of India with band-aid on Pakistan and India – trying to patch it and make it one :) such a sweet thought, only if someone really gave a thought to it !!

Another one was Obama carrying a book which says learn Hindi in 30 days – hilarious

All politicians should be sent to school.

Of course the white globe which was shown as one world one country thought where as I felt that it was showing the global warming issues where soon nothing will exist.

I loved the song udi udi – the song on coincidences that resulted in a relationship where Auro comes to life.

Some of the punch lines by Auro were awesome such as at the end in the hospital when Paresh Rawal (Auro’s grandfather) comes to see him – Auro says – there is less time left and Grandfather gets emotional and he says no we have lot of time. We have to go to Disneyworld and have all that fun and coolly Auro says, no I was saying the visitors hour is going to be finished :D .

Good thing is that they didn’t target Auro as to reach the audience. Well done movie I will say.

It was good to see Jaya Bacchan during introduction time.

You encouraged me to watch this movie, and paa cover is very significant.
I have listened to the song “udi udi” – very nice, with an interesting rhythm.
I wonder whether is the English version also?
Thank you for this interesting review.

Have a great, relaxing weekend!

“Auro says, no I was saying the visitors hour is going to be finished”! This might cause some courage to anyone who watches it. Nice review on paa, which i like to see.
