You were born an original. Don’t die a copy!

Every year pass by and a new year comes by :) what is new that we do each year?
Nothing!!!  Say Good bye to the old and welcome the new with a new hope and party drink and next day hangover.
Yes, if you see 2009 or 2008 or 2007…none of the years were bad. But we as human have become so greedy that we expect more and more and hence we are in the race where it has become a habit to flip over the calendar. Jan to Dec and once that is done then we look for a new one – New Year and new calendar – with lots of hope and expectations.
“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language and next year’s words await another voice.” ~ T.S. Eliot

Everyone has their planner ready saying these are my New Year resolutions and I am going to change this and improve that and what not! But ultimately you do nothing new. There is no change in fact in thinking and planning you lose so much energy that as the year goes by you become slowly and probably you give that blame to age or work :) .

“Many people look forward to the New Year for a new start on old habits.”

I don’t know how many of you will agree with this, but this year I didn’t feel anything great as what I felt last year. And this doesn’t mean that I am not excited about the New Year Eve and the New Year Day. I am very much excited about the New Year and I spent my last week of 2009 in Vegas and lived my life like I would have lived as a teenager.

I didn’t feel any kind of pressure of anything as the plan was to relax. Yes, I started this in 2009 itself and hence I will say I am going to continue to relax even in 2010.

“Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans” ~ John Lennon

I feel very happy to witness these many years pass by and welcome 2010. I still have that child in me, who is excited about the New Year and new things and the eagerness to see the new change and anxiousness what’s new this 2010 is going to make me feel like :)

I think by nature we all are curious and I am also curious and eager too.

Let’s get curious and figure out everything that we want to know and share it with our loved ones.

I am younger by one more year – people grow old year by year but for some reason I have caught hold of the wrong side of the scale :) I feel I am growing younger day by day – Why? The new thrills and excitements and the new ideas and dreams still make me a day dreamer – I feel so much like I was in my school recess time where I used to stare the lake for hours and day dream until my friend used to shake me to say bell has rang.

“I think of life itself now as a wonderful play that I’ve written for myself, and so my purpose is to have the utmost fun playing my part”  ~Shirley MacLaine

Let’s plan to day dream :) for this year as this will at least line up your dreams one by one and then you can think of which one to fulfill first.

Grow young every year and achieve your dreams year by year.

Happy New Year, I know my first post of the year was kind of very plain and that was my intention as well ;-)

My other experiences will follow in my next post!

“When planning for a year, plant corn. When planning for a decade, plant trees. When planning for life, train and educate people.”

A very easy starter of 2010, Usha, and quite nicely done! It makes me search my dream in a panic rush, it’s somewhere…

I witnessed the blue moon escort last decade’s goodness and badness gracefully and made sure to get her blessing for this grand new era by religiously waiting for her quiet appearance and kissed her good night…

Good night, Usha! Thanks for the scoop of chicken soup!

Yups! lets follow this mantra…. lets grow younger….

Hmm… personally 2009 had nothing new for me… But the way the movies come out of hollywood, I expect sumthing great from every year when it arrives…. :) So also for this new decade 2010

lovely quotes esp the last one :D thanks for sharing friend.
for me also the 1st of Jan seemed like just another day with one extra job of changing the hanging calendars ;) yet I feel it is a lovely opportunity to get back to old friends and wish all the friends and family.
