Yesterday in my dream God came and gave me a wish. He said think of a non-living yet giving much to life and assume that’s you.
I don’t know but one thing came into my mind and that was the old times stone – man made chakki (grinding machine). People in olden times used to harvest the grains – wheat, rice, corn etc and grind it at home. Those days ladies of the house will take the grain as much the family will need for that day and grind it to make the bread out of the flour.
Imagine the two granite stone rubbing grains in between them resulting into the flour.
“When life seems just a dreary grind; and things seem fated to annoy; say something nice to someone else and watch the world light up with joy.”
When I think of giving life to this grinding machine all I can see it complaining about is, ‘ you keep me working on these grains…at times the grains may change but yet you put pressure on me to grind them to give out the flour. Don’t I have a life?’
Wow! …to this, the answer was given by God that you are made for this reason – to grind the grains and turn them into flour. If we just not let you do this then you are no good for anyone. You are piece of stone and that’s it.
Sometimes we don’t realize that what we do, is how important to others. Just because you do the same monotonous job doesn’t mean you are not adding any value. It’s only when you stop doing it your worth is realized and felt.
“The nice thing about teamwork is that you always have others on your side” ~ Margaret Carty
No matter what I always felt this chakki – grinding machine as close to my heart and I am sure many Indians will agree that it gives the bread to them and their family. They worship it in many houses – it’s the culture or the fact but the truth is without grinding the grain it is not good for you to eat. It’s a team work that gives out the best result – farmer sow and harvest the grains and these grains when put in the grinding machine it gives out the flour with which the woman of the house makes the bread.
Every work is dependent on the other and team work is what brings the fruitful result which everyone enjoys too.
