It was winter time when a bird migrated from one country to the other.
When it came to the new country, it had perceptions about the country and other birds. It thought it will have a tough time getting used to the new place and the new birds that it will have to live with.
All this came to an end when it saw actually what it thought to be a tough thing was very easy as all the birds were helpful. It had a good life and eventually that time came when it had to migrate from this place to other. It thought even though the place is new, the birds are from our world and hence it had expectations about the birds at least.
“Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing.” ~ Camille Pissarro
It kept on thinking about the previous birds that were new but still helped it to survive where as this place even though the birds were from its world were mean.
“We must learn to reawaken and keep ourselves awake, not by mechanical aid, but by an infinite expectation of the dawn.” ~ Henry David Thoreau
I was thinking just like the bird how perceptions and expectations are different because it’s never what you think. It’s always what you experience and then make the perceptions and an expectation isn’t it?
But Can I say every time the perceptions and expectations have to be same?
“I hope for nothing. I fear nothing. I am free.” ~ Nikos Kazantzakis
